These four volumes take into consideration all the ECDL topics to obtain the advanced level licence, the ECDL Advanced. It is assumed that the student has obtained the basic licence (ECDL Core Level) whose contents are the prerequisites to take up the study of the ECDL Advanced. By completing each of these Modules, the student is able to obtain the corresponding licence.
ECDL Advanced AM3 – Text processing:
- create documents characterized by specific styles and advanced formatting;
- create documents with complex structure, with tables, spreadsheets and various graphical elements;
- carry out complex mail merge operations in text processing applications;
- use tools such as macros to make it easier and faster to use the tool.
ECDL Advanced AM4 - Spreadsheet:
- carry out advanced formatting operations and graphic presentations;
- use multiple logical, mathematical and statistical functions;
- use different tools to analyse the data;
- create and execute simple macros to make it easier and faster to use the tool.
ECDL Advanced AM5 – Database:
- create a database to organize, extract, visualize and create data reports using advanced operations;
- knowledge of different ways to correlate and organize data;
- import, connect and export data from, or to, other applications;
- write and execute simple macros to automate the main operations.
The textbook is accompanied by a CD-ROM with several exercises and an advanced Access e-book.
ECDL Advanced AM6 – Presentation tools:
- carry out effective presentations, to catch the attention of the targeted audience;
- use advanced formatting and elegant layout techniques;
- create and modify graphs and images, with the aid of specific tools to handle them;
- write and execute simple macros to automate the main operations.
Each volume presents different levels of exercises, useful to «put into practice» the skills required in the Syllabus and regularly explained in the textbook itself.
